International Center for Distance Education and Open Learning (ICDEOL) is one of the parts of the Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), which is located at Summer Hill, a suburb of Shimla, at a distance of 4-5 km from the main city. Eligibility criteria for Bachelor of Arts (General): ICDEOL HPU offers bachelor’s degrees in specializations which include English, History, Hindi, Music, Political Science, Sanskrit, Sociology, Mathematics, General, and Public Administration. Students must pass their senior secondary (10+2) examination with an aggregate of 50% marks from a reputed board such as ICSE, CBSE, or any state board. Students from any stream are eligible for this course. Students may apply for a bachelor’s degree in a specific subject they have a strong background in a particular subject.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.COM): Candidates need to clear their 10+2 examination from any reputed board or institute with an aggregate of 50% marks. Candidates from a commerce background with Mathematics and Economics as mandatory subjects can apply for this course. 

Master of Arts (MA): The University offers specialization in master’s programs, including Journalism and Mass Communication, Sociology, Hindi, English, History, Political Science, Sanskrit, Public Administration, Music, and Economics. Graduates are required to clear their graduation in any discipline with a minimum 45% – 50% in their examination from a recognized college.

Master of Commerce (M.COM): Candidates must have cleared their graduation in Bachelor of Commerce (B.COM) or related fields, such as economics or business administration, from a well-recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks.

Eligibility criteria for Master of Business Administration (MBA): Candidates must have passed their graduation with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks from a well-known university. Candidates who have pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration are eligible to apply for this course.
